Ordering a Wedding Cake in Prague

Most Prague cake studios work to order rather than from a fixed catalogue, so the process is a conversation: number of guests, how the cake will be served, whether it is cut during the reception as a moment or simply plated as dessert, and what the room looks like. Bring a photograph of your venue as well as of cakes you like — a tall tiered cake reads very differently in a Baroque hall than in a small restaurant.

Practical Points

Book a tasting where possible, and be specific about delivery. Summer heat is the main risk at a Prague wedding: buttercream and cream fillings behave badly in a room without air conditioning, and many historic venues have none. Ask what the studio recommends for your month, when the cake will arrive, who sets it up, and whether they supply the stand. Confirm allergens in writing if any guest needs it.
