About Hot Wings

Hot Wings is an eight-piece Prague band: vocals, trumpet, alto and tenor saxophone, piano, bass guitar, electric guitar and drums, playing swing, jazz, modern hits and ballroom material.

Why a Swing Band Suits Prague

A brass-led swing band works particularly well in the kind of rooms Prague offers — high ceilings, hard surfaces and a natural reverb that flatters horns. It also solves a problem many international weddings have: swing and jazz standards are familiar across generations and nationalities, so the dance floor is not divided by age or language.

Practical Considerations

An eight-piece band needs real space and real power. Confirm the stage footprint, the number of sockets, the setup and soundcheck time, and whether they bring their own PA. Then check your venue’s rules: many Prague heritage venues cap amplified music at 22:00 and impose a decibel limit, which affects how the evening is programmed.

Programming the Evening

A common structure is acoustic or small-ensemble music for the drinks reception, the full band for two or three sets after dinner, and a DJ or playlist to close. Ask what the band can cover and where the handover falls.
