What a Wedding Videographer Actually Delivers

Video and photography are different jobs, and the difference matters when you are booking. A photographer produces a gallery; a videographer produces a film, which means sound as well as image. Ask specifically how audio is captured during the ceremony and the speeches — a lapel microphone on the officiant and a recorder near the speakers is the standard answer, and a videographer who has no answer will hand you a beautiful, silent film.

Questions to Ask

How many hours of coverage are included, how many people are filming, what the delivery timeline is, and what you actually receive: a short highlight film, a longer documentary edit, the ceremony in full, or some combination. Ask to watch a complete film rather than a showreel — showreels are edited from the best three seconds of many weddings.

In Prague Specifically

Drone footage is restricted over much of the historic centre. If aerial shots matter to you, raise it before booking rather than on the day.
