Prague Wedding Cost 2026: Real Prices from Published Price Lists

Last checked: October 2026. Prices converted at €1 = CZK 24.27 (Czech National Bank, 22 October 2026).

A wedding in Prague costs far less than most couples expect. An elopement for two to eight people can be done for roughly €1,800–2,500, a 30-guest wedding for about €5,500–6,500, and a 60-guest wedding for about €10,000–12,000. That excludes your outfits, rings, flights and accommodation. The national average fits this picture: the average Czech wedding in 2025 was estimated at CZK 280,000 (about €11,500) for around 60 guests.

Every price in this guide comes from a published price list, not from guesswork. Here is how we built it, followed by every cost item.

Prague wedding budget at a glance

The figures are the typical (median) price from each category below. Not included: wedding planner, outfits, rings, translations and apostilles, accommodation and travel. A full-evening open bar also costs more than the basic drinks budgeted here; see food and drink.

How we built these numbers

In October 2026 we collected the prices that Prague wedding vendors and venues publish on their own websites: about 60 price lists across photographers, videographers, make-up artists, florists, restaurants, cake makers, DJs and musicians, car hire, officiants, interpreters and ceremony venues. Vendors that only say “price on request” are not included. For each category we show the published range and the typical (median) price.

Three things to keep in mind:

• Published prices are usually entry prices (“from…”). Your quote will depend on your date, guest count and what you add.
• Some lists include Czech VAT (21%) and some do not. Always ask.
• Vendors who mainly serve international couples are often more expensive than the Czech-market prices shown here.

Transparency note: this site is run by a Prague wedding photographer. We left our own prices out of the photography figures.

Legal and official costs

If you marry legally in Prague, these are the fixed costs:

Town hall ceremony rooms are often free on their set wedding days. The Old Town Hall’s ceremony hall is free for all couples, and Prague 2’s New Town Hall adds CZK 3,000 only for Saturdays or other dates. For the full paperwork, read our legal wedding guide for foreigners.

If you choose a symbolic ceremony instead, an English-speaking officiant costs about €165–330 (median €267) on published lists.

Venue costs

Most famous Prague venues, including palaces, Prague Castle areas, Žofín and Villa Richter, do not publish wedding prices. The venues that do give a useful benchmark:

For a garden or monument ceremony, a typical published price is about €500 (median of four venues). Many restaurants and hotels do not charge room hire for a dinner and instead price everything through the menu, sometimes with a minimum spend. For capacities and rules venue by venue, see our guide to the best wedding venues in Prague, and our castles near Prague for venues outside the city.

Food and drink

Food is the biggest item at most weddings. Expect about €50 per guest for a dinner with basic drinks, and more for a full evening with an open bar. Prague restaurants and hotels rarely publish open-bar prices, so ask for a quote. Some venues let you bring your own wine and charge corkage per bottle, and a few charge a flat fee per guest instead.

Wedding cake

Prague cake makers publish prices of about €29–41 per kg (median €32), or €4–10 per portion. A three-tier cake starts at around CZK 8,000 (≈ €330) on published lists. Delivery is often charged per kilometre.

Photography and video

Here is what Prague wedding photographers publish on their own price pages for 2025–2026:

There is a clear pattern in the price lists. Photographers whose pages are written for Czech couples mostly charge €820–1,025 for a full day. Photographers who market to international couples in English charge more, roughly €1,100–2,000. The difference usually comes with English-language communication, experience with destination weddings, and often faster delivery or more edited images. Compare what is included (hours, number of edited photos, delivery time, second shooter), not just the headline price.

Very few Prague-based videographers publish their prices. The range above comes from Czech videographers who also work in Prague, and some of them charge travel on top.

Hair, make-up and flowers

Most Prague make-up artists include travel within the city. Outside Prague they typically charge per kilometre (CZK 10–15/km on published lists), and early starts can cost extra. Florists rarely publish prices for arches and table designs. Expect a quote based on your design, guest count and season.

Music

Many DJ packages also cover sound for the ceremony, which saves renting a separate speaker. Musicians often add travel costs outside the city.

Transport

A vintage or luxury wedding car with a driver costs about €105–235 per hour (median €123). Most offers are packages of around 3 hours in Prague, from about CZK 9,000 (≈ €370). Extra hours cost CZK 2,000–5,500 (≈ €80–225).

Wedding planner or coordinator

Czech wedding coordinators charge roughly CZK 15,000–60,000 (≈ €620–2,470) for full planning, often quoted as 10–15% of the budget. Planners who specialise in destination weddings for international couples usually charge more. For a small wedding or an elopement, a day-of coordinator or a photographer who knows the locations is often enough.

Costs couples forget

• VAT (21%): some price lists exclude it. Check before you compare.
• Overtime: extra hours for the photographer, DJ, car or venue.
• Travel: make-up artists, musicians and cake delivery are often charged per kilometre outside Prague.
• Early starts: some make-up artists charge extra before 7:00.
• Corkage if you bring your own drinks.
• Documents: apostilles and court translations for a legal wedding.
• Guest logistics: airport transfers, welcome drinks, a day-after brunch.

How to spend less

• Marry on a weekday. Registry offices and many venues have set wedding days, and Saturdays cost more or book up first.
• Go symbolic. A symbolic ceremony avoids registry fees, translations and apostilles, and you can hold it almost anywhere.
• Keep it small. Food and drink is priced per guest. At €50 per person, every 10 guests adds about €500.
• Choose a restaurant reception. Many restaurants charge only for the menu, with no venue hire.
• Book half-day photography for an intimate wedding. It is about half the price of a full day.
