Vyšehrad is a good choice for a small ceremony: the fortress sits above the Vltava, it is quieter than the Old Town, and the views are wide. It also has one of the clearest price lists of any Prague wedding venue. This guide sticks to what the official pages say.
What is possible
Vyšehrad offers civil, church and symbolic ceremonies, as well as registered partnerships. Civil ceremonies go through the Prague 2 registry office. Ceremonies inside the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul are arranged separately with the Vyšehrad Chapter, not with the fortress administration.

The official PDF lists these prices excluding VAT, and the English web page words the VAT differently, so ask for the final figure in writing. The officiant is not included.
Where the ceremony happens
Ceremonies take place in the fortress parks. The Purkrabství hall is the rain or reception option, and the Premium package includes photos at Gorlice. The open-air theatre is also available. Despite what some articles say, there is no Gothic cellar offered for ceremonies.
What you cannot control
The parks cannot be closed to the public. Walkers and tourists will pass during your ceremony. For an elopement this is often fine, and some couples like the lived-in feel, but if you want complete privacy, choose another venue from our venue guide.
