About Jitka Novatna

Jitka Novatna is a makeup artist working in Prague. She graduated in June 2006 from L’École Privée du Maquillage “Jean-Pierre Fleurimon” on Rue St. Honoré in central Paris, after studying makeup for photography and fashion.

A Photographic Background

Training in photographic and fashion makeup matters more for a wedding than it might sound. Wedding makeup is photographed continuously for eight to twelve hours, under changing light, often with flash. An artist trained for camera understands how a base behaves under flash, how much definition the eyes need to survive at a distance, and where highlighting helps or hurts.

Booking and Trials

Book a trial if your schedule allows, and treat it as a working session: bring your dress photograph, your hair plan, and reference images. Photograph the result in daylight and again indoors before deciding.

On the Day

Allow 60–90 minutes for bridal makeup and 30–45 for each additional person, and share the full timeline including any early photoshoot. Prague’s summer humidity and winter dryness both affect how makeup wears, so say where and when the ceremony takes place.
